Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a researcher?
Join us for an exciting day at the Vienna BioCenter, where you’ll discover the world of science alongside researchers from the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology (IMBA), the Gregor Mendel Institute of Molecular Plant Biology (GMI), and the Vienna BioCenter Core Facilities (VBCF).
Event Highlights:
Breakfast Panel: Start your day chatting with researchers from IMBA and GMI over breakfast. They’ll share stories about their daily work on fascinating topics like how axolotls can regenerate their limbs and how plants adapt and evolve over time. This is your chance to ask questions, hear real-life experiences, and discover the many paths you could take in science.
Interactive Lab Tours: Get an inside look at actual research labs, try hands-on experiments, and see the tools and techniques scientists use every day.
Why attend?
• Explore different areas of science – from understanding how plants evolve to uncovering the genetics behind fruit flies or even learning how axolotls regenerate their limbs after injury.
• Get ideas for your future career by chatting with scientists about their journeys and experiences.
• Meet other teenagers who share your interest in science, ask questions together, and enjoy a day of discovery.
We look forward to an exciting and inspiring day with you!
