The program will be in English. Girls will visit the Institute of Molecular Biotechnology (IMBA) and the Gregor Mendel Institute of Molecular Plant Biology (GMI) that are located in the same building.

Attention girls aged 14-16! Join us for an unforgettable adventure into the world of science and research! Enjoy a tour around IMBA (https://www.oeaw.ac.at/imba/home) and GMI (https://www.oeaw.ac.at/gmi/home), visit the labs of two research groups and gain firsthand insights into ongoing research and the daily routine of a researcher.

Discover how conifer trees adapt to climate change with Kelly Swarts and her team at GMI and explore gene expression during early mammalian development with Joanna Jachowicz and her team at IMBA.

We’ll wrap up our exciting morning with a round-table discussion, where you’ll have the chance to ask questions, learn about the researchers‘ experiences, and fuel your passion for science.
